Helpr has made a huge difference as I have transitioned into balancing working full time and being a first time mom in the middle of a pandemic. We don't need full time childcare so daycare didn't make sense for us but we also weren't super comfortable with having different babysitters in and out of our home.
Helpr has been the perfect solution because I can schedule my sisters to babysit only on days that I am desperate for help. I had a few really crazy days right before the holidays, and I was able to book my sister to watch Robin on those days. It's a win-win situation because I get to use a family member I trust to provide childcare and my sister gets paid way more than I would pay her without Helpr so she's motivated to be available for us.
If I didn't have subsidized child care I would rarely use child care at all because of the cost. Helpr makes care so much more accessible and I don't think twice about booking babysitters when I really need them. At the same time, if I didn't use any childcare I think would need to work reduced hours or even quit because it would be too stressful trying to do it all. A few hours of childcare each week makes a huge difference in my overall sanity.
